After leaving this thing in my car for a long time unchecked it got a little dirty, but she kept on going for a long time. The material is great, the wire mesh is strong and holds its form, and although it isnt really meant to be submerged in water (it may or may not have been and i may or may not be wearing a cowboy hat and sponge bob underpants right now) it deals pretty well with getting wet through the daily grind. The filter recharge kits for these filter are recommended, and you can use them for years if you take care of them. They look nice too, you might say, and yes they do, as long as you dont get an under-the-fender cold air like i put on my subaru. The only complaint i had is they changed the inlet design and put little ribs on it to keep it from falling off, which sounds nice, but it makes it impossible to get on your piping unless you trim it a little (which takes all of five minutes). So, aside from that little issue, this is the best filter ever. They perform slightly better than the other similar looking brand, and if thats what you truly want, its worth the extra change, and if you already own an injen intake, i wouldnt get any other filter for it. Like ever.
